Join the KC Board
Help Kitchen Commons connect kitchen resources with community need by joining our Board of Directors! If you have 5 – 10 hours per month to contribute for at least two years, a passion for improving low-income access to healthy food, and skills to contribute to one of the positions below, please consider becoming part of the Board.
Five steps to becoming a board candidate:
- Learn more about Kitchen Commons values, history and programs through the website.
- Meet with Jocelyn and/or Anna, who will follow up with you to talk about your interests and what’s involved in serving on the board.
- Participate in a Community Kitchen event if you haven’t already!
- Attend at least one board meeting by July, 2017.
Kitchen Commons is a grassroots membership organization where members vote for the Board of Directors. We will be formally voting to admit new Board members at our Summer Celebration on August 5, 2017. Candidates will have a brief opportunity to speak at the event and share their interest in serving on the board; we hope you can attend. To allow time to meet with candidates and to have them observe the July board meeting, we ask that candidates apply by June 30, 2017. Interim appointments are also available if you are interested in joining the board this spring.
