Story Kitchen at Village Gardens
4625 N Trenton St, Portland, OR 97203
Food is important. Yes, we need food to survive, but it’s so much more than that. Food helps us connect with who we are and where we come from. It is a powerful way to express love and care for others, and is a vehicle for us to share our stories and traditions. Food bridges families and neighbors in mealtime, helps us celebrate life’s special moments, and allows us to gift one another with our care and our time. On Wednesday, September 19th from 4 to 7pm, Village Gardens is hosting an inter-generational community cooking event in partnership with Kitchen Commons. We are exploring the ways that food touches our lives- the ways that food can bring people together and also reveal divisions, challenges, needs and opportunities. Join us in the kitchen and around the table! RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org or 503-956-0672.
