During this fun, interactive training participants will learn how to start a Community Kitchen, share helpful kitchen leadership and community cooking ideas, discuss how Kitchen Commons supports Community Kitchens, and, of course, cook together in the Community Kitchen!
- Everyone will recieve an updated Community Kitchen Handbook and take home food from the bounty of the community kitchen.
- We ask for a sliding scale donation of $1-15 to pay for event costs (donate online or at the event).
- Tickets are free for Kitchen Commons Community Kitchen Network Leaders and Participants (Cully, St. Mikes, Hob Nob, North Portland, and Leaven Communty Kitchens)
- We strive to make this a safe, inclusive, accessible event. Please let us know if you have accessibility needs or food restrictions. This kitchen is wheelchair accessible.
Kitchen Commons creatively engages people with the power of cooking to connect communities and build food justice. We do this by supporting Community Kitchen leaders and a network of Community Kitchens in Portland, OR. Bringing many voices to the table we work collaboratively towards a healthy, just, sustainable food system.
